Nepali Kimbadanti

Behind every hill, forest, city, river, lake, temple, deity and festival of Nepal lies a traditional kimbadanti. Passed down by word of mouth for generations, these legends tell how a place got its name, how a god or goddess came to be worshipped, and why a festival is observed. Grouped into six themes and available in both Nepali and English.
